Trai data shows Reliance Jio added close to 80 lakh subscribers followed by BSNL with 2.32 lakhs  and vodafone idea lost  15 lakhs and Airtel lost with 33 lakhs  connections in Apr’19.   Total wireless subscribers (GSM, CDMA & LTE) increased from 1,161.81 million at the end of Mar-19 to 1,162.30 million at the end of Apr-19, thereby registering a monthly growth rate of 0.04%. The Wireless subscription in urban areas increased from 650.49 million at the end of Mar-19 to 652.35 million at the end of Apr-19, however in rural area, it declined from 511.32 million to 509.95 million during the month. The monthly growth rates of urban and rural wireless subscription were 0.29% and -0.27% respectively.

As on 30th April, 2019, the private access service providers held 89.73% market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two PSU access service providers, had a market share of only 10.27%.
