Trai data shows Reliance Jio added close to 46.8 lakh subscribers followed by BSNL with 95,428 and Vodafone idea lost 63.5 lakhs and Airtel lost with 12.61 lakhs connections in MAR-20.
Total wireless subscribers (2G, 3G & 4G) decreased from 1,160.59 million at the end of Feb-20 to 1,157.75 million at the end of Mar-20, thereby registering a monthly decline rate of 0.24%. Wireless subscription in urban areas decreased from 643.24 million at the end of Feb-20 to 638.48 million at the end of Mar-20 however wireless subscription in rural areas increased from 517.34 million at the end of Feb-20 to 519.27 million at the end of Mar-20. As on 31st March 2020, the private access service providers held 89.36% market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two PSU access service providers, had a market share of only 10.64%
